We are a non-profit organization focused on systemic education reform. We serve educators in New England as well as nationally. Our vision is that all students will have knowledgeable educators who believe in them and work in schools with strong cultures of professional practice.

Professional Development

Public Policy & Public Discourse

We improve public understanding about the significance and complexities of knowledge-based teaching and leadership in schools through dialog with legislators, policymakers, opinion shapers, and business and community leaders. Learn more about our public policy and public discourse work!

We also influence policy makers to align the systems that impact educator quality: preparation, licensure, recruitment and hiring, comprehensive induction, ongoing professional development, supervision and evaluation, relicensure, teacher leadership, organizational structure, and organizational culture. WHAT'S NEW

New from the BTC!

The Beginning Teacher Center of Teachers21 and Simmons College is proud to present two new offerings:

In Voices from the Field: Conversations with Mentors and New Teachers, Virginia Tang provides 25 wide-ranging classroom-based vignettes that are based on the experiences of beginning teachers.

Our Induction Program Assessment Surveys are an assessment tool designed to gather data from induction program stakeholders, perform detailed analysis of the data, and offer districts customized, data-driven recommendations for enhancing their beginning teacher induction programs.

Continues to Expand!

Teachers21 is continuously working to strengthen our professional development services.  We are pleased to announce new and expanded opportunities for educators in areas that include Professional Learning Communities, Secondary School Redesign, Leadership Coaching, Instructional Coaching, and Rethinking Instructional Time.
