Induction Program Evaluation Surveys

The IPES provide districts with an easily accessible tool for gathering data on its induction program and taking steps toward enhancing the support they provide to beginning teachers.  This tool is also designed to provide recommendations and suggestions to school leaders as they implement and improve their induction programs.

The surveys are tailored to five stakeholder groups: beginning teachers, mentors, principals, program coordinators, and central office administrators. Stakeholders complete the surveys in an accessible, easy-to-use online format. Schools or districts receive reports that provide detailed results and analysis of the data as well as recommendations for strengthening or enhancing the induction programs.

The investment of time and resources that a district makes in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of its induction model for new and beginning teachers helps to ensure that students are benefiting every year from knowledgeable, skillful teachers in their classrooms.
